Trello is a web-based project management application originally made by Fog Creek Software in 2011, that spun out to be its own company in 2014. The basic service is provided free of charge, although a Business Class paid-for service was launched in 2013. Trello keeps track of everything, from the big picture to the minute details in an Infinitely flexible application.
The Trello board is a list of lists, filled with cards, used by you and your teams with everything you need to organize projects of any size. The application has the flexibility to invite as many people to your board needed, all for free. Drag and drop people to cards to divvy up tasks. Everyone sees the same board and the whole picture all at once. Whenever something important happens, you know instantly with Trello’s notification system. Users get notifications wherever they are: inside the app, via email, desktop notifications via the browser, or via mobile push notifications. Notifications stay in sync across all devices. Trello works in real-time, real fast.
When somebody moves a card, it moves on their board instantly, no matter what device used. Tabs can be opened all day and never have to be refreshed with added advantage that Trello opens and loads so fast it is not noticeable.
Teams are groups of people and boards, like companies, families, or roommates that can stay connected on Trello. As many teams as needed can be made on this free account and data is private and secure. Users have full control over who sees each board. All data is sent over a secure, SSL/HTTPS connection, the same encryption technology used by banks.
